Crypto Bridge LayerZero Connects to Solana Blockchain

Crypto bridging protocol LayerZero is ready to increase to the Solana blockchain on Wednesday, including one other route for crypto belongings transferring between the Ethereum world and its largest singular competitor.

Crypto holders on Solana will have the ability to transfer their belongings to Arbitrum, Ethereum, Polygon and the 70 different chains it hyperlinks to – and vice-versa, Layer Zero Labs, the corporate growing the bridging protocol, stated.

LayerZero is a so-called bridging platform: a messenger between blockchains that don’t naturally talk with one another. Its customers moved $6.7 billion value of cryptocurrencies within the first quarter of 2024, producing $11.5 million in income, in response to analysis outfit Messari.

Non-public enterprise traders valued LayerZero Labs at $3 billion in a serious funding spherical introduced in April. The protocol is predicted to challenge its personal token shortly.

Solana, whose native token $SOL is the fifth-largest cryptocurrency by market cap per CoinGecko, has three different main bridging protocols that hyperlink it to the far-larger Ethereum ecosystem, most notably Wormhole.
